In April 2019, the state-level high powered steering committee (SLHPC) met to discuss the traffic and safety threats posed by the Miramar foot over bridge and has in principle, agreed to dismantle the largely redundant and unutilized asset. The foot over a bridge which has led to severe traffic congestion on the road and posed a threat to motorists due to its faulty design.
