Anjuna’s Hip Movement: Cleaning Garbage

In honor of Earth Day 2019, on 28th April, several organizations and citizens came together to organize a Beach Clean Up at Anjuna Beach. In what was a unique event, not only did many locals, tourists, and hostel owners clean up the beach, but there was also plenty of fun through musical performance by ‘Musica Guru Live’, a shore walk and a talk by Carry Your Bottle organization. Big shout out to Earth Day Network, Banglanatak, Carry Your Bottle, Sanctuary Nature Foundation, Bunkd Hostels and Guru Bar for organizing this much-needed event! After the success of this event, there are plans of organising similar events in Vagator and other beaches in the vicinity.
