Seven Animal Welfare Groups to tackle complaints of stray cattle

In order to implement the modified Goa Stray Cattle Management Scheme 2013 the Department of Animal Husbandry notified seven animal welfare organisations as nodal agencies to respond to complaints of stray cattle. The department has also launched helpline numbers for the same.  The identified AWOs however cite inadequate support and funding from the department to enable rescues and action in such cases.
